Minnie (Chantilly) von Sparrow is a lovely 5 year old smaller German Shepherd mix. This wonderful girl with the ginormous ears has some of the best manners we have ever seen. She leaves her kennel gracefully, despite being housebroken and needing to go right away. She also walks incredibly well on leash and, even next to a pesky high-energy female, she was able to focus on the walk and her handler. Minnie is medium energy and sweet as sugar - our kennel techs will tell you that it is impossible not to fall in love with her. She is very receptive to affection and will give you some wonderful kisses if you sit and cuddle her. She is so easy-going and gentle, it is heartbreaking to see her kenneled in a rescue and not on a comfortable bed in a loving home. Minnie enters her playgroup comfortably; she is clearly well-socialized with other dogs. While not interested in tumbling around with the other dogs (she is a lady after all), she is tolerant of all the different temperaments in there. Minnie loves to come up to us, asking for affection and seeking our approval. Minnie would fit beautifully into any adult home, or a home with adult-sized kids. With her carefree and even-tempered nature, she would also be a great option for first time shepherd owners.
